"You've Got This!" Week Spring 2012

Yeah it's that time again! While in prior "You've Got This!" Weeks the main purpose was to help me quell the urge to shop for new trends this season it's a preemptive thing! I haven't really had much time to think about shopping I've been so busy Have you invested in any trends yet? I know other people have been doing some similar theme weeks but, since I've been doing this for myself since the inception of 260 Days, No Repeats I want to stick with it! I hope you will join me.

The Linky made participating so much easier I will put one up everyday next week starting Monday and if you want to participate you can just link up! Just leave me a comment so I know you're in, grab the banner, pick some trends, and work with what you've got! I'm sure you have things in your closet that fit the trends so put some fantastic outfits with your stuff. No buying anything new!! I know you've got this...

October 29, 2010: A T-Shirt & Jeans

I would have loved to participate in this theme week Monday through Friday but, my dress code is business casual (as you know) and that would not have worked out so well. Though, I was happy to jump on the band wagon for Casual Friday. There is nothing more classic than jeans and a t-shirt! I even dug up an old graphic tee to incoporate some creepiness for Halloween! Who doesn't love zombies? "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains" - Pride and Predjudice and Zombies. If you haven't read the book you totally should it's hilarious! But, I digress... This was as festive as I got for Halloween, other than munching on some candy. What did you do? Did anyone dress up?
  • Top: black graphic tee, Threadless
  • Bottom: trouser jeans, GAP outlet
  • Shoes & Accessories: purple suede-ish ballet flats, Mossimo for Target; onyx earrings, V'ta; black spy bag, Fendi (not pictured)

Items from this outfit are previously seen and remixed here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here:

"You've Got This!" Week

I racked my brain trying to come up with an idea for a theme week and after much consideration (and help from friends) I came up with "You've Got This!": Spring 2010 Trend Week. The title is too long I know but, it was hard to come up with a shorter version and still convey the message.

Here's a little background; I would consider myself to be a stylish person but, I can't afford to jump on the bandwagon for every single trend that graces the covers of glossies throughout the changing seasons. To be honest, sometimes I wouldn't want to but, there are some good ones this spring. After taking a good look at some of the on trend things this spring I realize what mom says is true, things always come back in style and I can wear clothes representative of "new trends" from my current wardrobe.

That is basically the theme of this coming week for anyone who wants to join me; form trendy outfits with things you already have in your closet. No buying anything new! I am honestly a little nervous that I am not going to be able to come through but, I am willing to give it a try. Also, I didn't realize this but, it's a short week so I should have a little more faith! If you are interested in joining me please leave a comment with your name and a link to your blog, I will compile a list of all participants for the first post on Tuesday. Also, please save the picture to use in your posts and link back to 260 Days, No Repeats,
