I have a few reservations over the next two weeks and tonight is Asia de Cuba. I've actually eaten there before (delish!) but, it's been a while and since BF has never been there we are going so I can introduce him to the culinary wonder that is Asian Latin fusion. Because our dinner reservation is on the earlier side of things I have to be able to seamlessly transition from work to acceptable dinner attire. The easiest solution: a comfy yet chic dress, the right accessories, and a touch of make up before I leave! How would you dress for dinner?
- Top: navy blue jersey knit dress, New York and Company with a tank top underneath for the modesty
- Shoes & Accessories: yellow vintage inspired cut-out wedges, Merona for Target; semi-precious multi-stone necklace and earrings, custom V'ta jewlery; gray Balenciaga Le-Dix/motorcycle bag
I think you got it exactly right, throw a cardigan or a blazer over a cute dress and you can seamlessly go from day to evening!
ReplyDeleteAsian latin fusion sounds cool, I wish I went into the city more often!
Chic on the Cheap
I am a fan of Restaurant Week ! Ours was held about 2 months ago and this year I did not go to any restaurant, but last year was a blast.
ReplyDeleteI think the dress is a good one to transition from day to night.
Maybe I would have added a scarf to add on before going to the restaurant... but that is just me :)
The restaurant week sounds amazing. I'm sure you'll have so much fun! (And great food, of course.)
ReplyDeleteSo, you just know I own that dress in cream AND in a floral print - I wish I'd picked it up in every color! It's a great dress, so versatile.
I also have the same dress in a floral, I agree it is an amazingly versatile dress! Great minds... :)
