July 30, 2010: Less Casual Friday

As you know I experience the joy that is "casual friday!" Being allowed to wear jeans in the workplace is just another way of recognizing that the weekend is just around the corner, or at least that's what I like to think! But, on this particular Friday I have been slammed with lots of tasks to complete and a morning meeting so the weekend doesn't necessarily seem as close as I would hope.

I know the people that I am meeting with from previous dealings so, the ambiance of the meeting doesn't have to be hyper formal but, I feel like showing up in denim capris and a fun graphic tee is also inappropriate. What's a girl to do? Fancy jeans I think! Normally I don't wear these to work because in my mind it defeats the point of a truly casual friday since they are so long I need to wear heels but, in this case they are perfect for the meeting and they give me another reason to use a pair of forgotten shoes again!
  • Top: red floral print top, Old Navy
  • Bottom: dark wash trouser jeans, Not Your Daughter's Jeans via Nordstrom Rack
  • Shoes & Acccessories: yellow suede wedges, born; silver bead earrings, Tiffany & Co.; purple bag Coach

Items from this outfit are previously seen and remixed here and here:

  1. This might not be the most casual Friday look, but I love it!

  2. Love it! And the great thing about longer jeans is they make your legs look miles long.

  3. I just bought my first pair of NYDJ's today and have already tried them on twice. They are absolutely fabulous. I have never looked so good in a pair of jeans. I will never buy another brand. I wear petite so please don't quit making them. Thanks so much for making a pair of jeans that I don't have to pull up everytime I stand. Love love love them and they actually do make me look a size smalller!!!!
